Sex is a human activity. Like many human activities, it can often be better doing it with friends than doing it alone (going to the movies, playing a videogame, what have you). Doing it with someone you love can be even better.

But it's nothing more than a type of human activity that has been made sacred and/or taboo by various cultural forces.

Sometimes this human activity takes a form that focuses on the enjoyment of one of the participants more than another. Sometimes a handjob or a blowjob are exactly that. There's nothing wrong with that.

Why should enjoying a partner's gratitude outside of the bedroom make me feel like a whore (or like that's a bad thing)?

No, I don't expect you to adopt the same attitude toward sex as I have. Sexuality's a complex thing and different for everybody.

I was joking about how close your comment, which I also figured was a joke, was to "I wish I got material goods in exchange for sex". It was funny to me.

My humor is pretty deadpan. Sometimes it doesn't translate over the internet very well. I should have been more indicative I was joking with you.

I have literally nothing against sex. I think people ought to have more of it (carefully). Personally I don't even find anything wrong with prostitution as long as all parties involved are truly consensual.

Does it seem a little exploitive to anyone else that the congregation does all the work but the minister reaps the profits from the book?

Also, kudos to a church that seems to be aware that a healthy sex life is part of a healthy marriage. Granted, this is something that even Jack Chick has acknowledged, but I'll take any good news out of Texas I can get.
