Help send my cute children's film to festivals!

quote [ The short film is about a little boy from Brooklyn who, fascinated by the concept of flight, sets out to find a way to take to the skies. ]

SE, I need your support! I've worked on this short for over 8 months, have 5 more days of fundraising left and need your help! Your contributions would be tax deductible, and the rewards are awesome. Can't post the film publicly, but PM me and I'll share the protected link so you can see what you're supporting!

The film is a family film that celebrates the innocence of children and their belief that anything is possible. Promoting literacy and education, The Problem of Gravity invites us all on a wonderful journey in which we learn to seek the answers to our biggest dreams in the simplest of solutions.

Well, the mod works. But it's more begging than trying to make money or get hits, so it's not really necessary.

Also, I think you're on probation.

Will see if I can help out come payday. (It's the closest I'll ever get to having a producer credit, amirite?) Perhaps for your next project, let us know more than four days before crunch time, eh?
TStryker said @ 12:29am GMT on 14th Feb
Done! I didn't even think about putting it up until recently. I'll have it up online probably in a year! :-)

Iron Sky: President Palin vs. Moon Nazis

sacrelicious said @ 10:55pm GMT on 8th Feb
why are there no original ideas in Hollywood?
Ankylosaur said @ 11:03pm GMT on 8th Feb
Hollywood had nothing to do with it. It's a Finnish-German-Australian-Internet collaboration.
GordonGuano said @ 1:26am GMT on 9th Feb
Why would moon Nazis attack an America with Sarah Palin as President? Mission fucking accomplished.

this trailer would fit in nicely with those fake Grindhouse trailers.

However that being said I actually can't wait to this this real movie.

lilmookieesquire said @ 2:39am GMT on 9th Feb
The original wad much funnier. That Asian girl has tracings of a drawl and sounds more American than I do. I guess it's hard to sound Asian when you can't tell if you want to puke in your mouth or laugh out loud. (also, "old") <3
lilmookieesquire said @ 2:41am GMT on 9th Feb
She also reminds me of the Asian girl in bamboo. All of them.
sanepride said @ 3:16am GMT on 9th Feb
I agree. A good example of how hard it is to parody something that's a parody of itself.
lilmookieesquire said @ 6:49am GMT on 9th Feb
They should have either made her a total valley girl or just go way overboard (long pony tail, hat, buck teeth, glasses... or just add clips from the Rambo movies) but I suppose this version was safer and to the point.

In other news while you try to gain a little money for your interesting and inventive video this dick uses his father's connections to waste money and effort on a bullshit rant.
GordonGuano said @ 2:19am GMT on 9th Feb
So...it's Max Brooks with lower production values?

I spotted at least one porn star, and there was enough cleavage to keep me watching the whole thing. And a double facepalm really is the only appropriate thing to do after you say the words "Booster Gold".
sacrelicious said @ 3:19am GMT on 9th Feb
his father's money and connections? I would be very surprised if this video cost more than $200 to make. ANYONE on youtube could have made this. I didn't even know who the hell his father was until the very end, and even then I thought he was [YOU KNOW WHO'S] son until I read his last name. this is hardly an egregious case of nepotism. and as for that cameo at the end, the guy is probably a close family friend, and probably lives down the street. it's not like his dad called in some kind of huge favor to get him on board.

as for the vid:

-1 for that trite old interpretation of Supes that "he isn't interesting cause he's not drenched in massively overwrought pathos! PAAAAAAAATHOOOOOOOOOS!!!"

-1 for the absurd suggestion that death in comics was anything close to sacrosanct until Superman went and ruined it for everyone else.

-1 for ignoring the fact that DC was totally upfront right from the start about wanting to bring back Superman after killing him, and that the media pretty much ignored that part through equal parts being out of touch with comics, and wanting to make it a more compelling story for viewers.

-1 for being oblivious to the fact that for supposedly hating this story so much, he knows an awful lot of detail, and clearly read every goddamn page. a couple of times even.

+3 for the amusing re-telling of the whole story, because I actually enjoyed that story arc at the time (the return part more than the death), so it's nice to see a sweded version of it.
sacrelicious said @ 3:28am GMT on 9th Feb
gah, I meant +4. it was supposed to balance out, see, but I forgot how many minuses I added, and accidentally made this a net -1.
